Coral Vase – Reimagining Delft Blue

The Coral Vases grow from a story that began over a decade ago, when I worked for Marcel Wanders and first immersed myself in the world of Delft Blue, patterns and mosaics. That experience sharpened my eye for detail and sparked a fascination with transforming heritage into something new.

For this series, I collaborate with Royal Delft, using their rejected ceramic pieces as a foundation. Each fragment carries its own history, and by reshaping and rebuilding them, new forms emerge. Coral-like vessels that feel alive, organic, and quietly radiant.

What once was discarded becomes part of a contemporary narrative. These vases celebrate craft, circularity, and the poetic beauty of giving old materials a new voice.
